Job Description
The position of Corporate Security Officer is a casual role supporting security operations for a world-leading global financial services institution. The role is designed to provide flexible cover for annual leave, sickness, roster gaps and other staffing requirements, helping to maintain a consistent and professional level of service within a high-security corporate environment. There are no guaranteed hours attached to the position; however, depending on operational requirements and individual availability, the role may provide approximately 2 to 5 shifts per week. Shifts are generally around 12 hours and may include day shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays. The role would suit someone who is flexible, reliable and comfortable supporting the team when additional cover is required. As some shifts may fall overnight or outside normal business hours, candidates should be comfortable working these patterns and able to maintain a professional and attentive approach throughout the shift. We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable and dependable, with a good eye for detail and a positive attitude towards their work. Good communication skills are important, as the role involves regular interaction with employees, visitors, contractors and other stakeholders. The successful candidate should also be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider security team. Position Duties The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional related tasks as and when necessary. Conduct proactive patrols of assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises. Monitor and control access. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve security risks. Provide first aid where necessary. Prepare detailed reports on activities and incidents. Maintain safety and security equipment. Possess good interpersonal skills in order to provide assistance to employees and contractors. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive security information Perform related work as required. Regular, dependable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications In date QAS Certification. In date SPP. In date First Aid Certification with either CPR and AED addition or a separate CPR and AED qualification Fluent in spoken and written English (required). Ability to pass background screening and due diligence. Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. Excellent personal presentation. Excellent communication skills. Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies. 2 years proven experience in similar position. Thorough/proven understanding of corporate security protocols. Hong Kong Permanent Resident or eligibility through spousal visa. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proficient in traditional/simplified Chinese and/or other Asian languages (preferred, however not essential).
