Software Engineer C++

We are seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join our development team in Rotselaar, Belgium for an exciting, industry-innovating project. In this role you will be responsible for developing software solutions for our advanced measurement and inspection systems used in food packaging applications. We are currently building a team to develop our next-generation measurement platform. This Industry 4.0 platform will interact with all current and newly developed sensors in a packaging machine to monitor critical parameters, leading to a more controlled process, increased productivity, and higher quality output. An important element is to exchange the acquired data with industrial databases and analyze/visualize results to enable (automated) fast decision-making about the packaging process. You will be part of this worldwide team of software and application engineers and report to the Team Leader/Project Manager. Engilico, part of the Japanese technology group Nabtesco, develops and markets innovative in-line seal inspection systems for food and non-food packaging applications. Our solutions enable our customers to increase the quality and productivity of their packaging processes. responsibilities:
Team with internal stakeholders to determine the scope of work, analyze requirements and contribute to effort estimations Design, develop and test software for monitoring and controlling the operation of packaging machines Maintain existing software by extending and adapting functionalities Support field engineers with maintenance, updates, and upgrades. Documenting processes and maintaining software development records. Remote support of field installations

Your Profile
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering or equivalent through experience Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and function in a dynamic environment Fluent in C++ Experience in object-oriented software design and development Superb analytical and problem-solving skills Specific skills that are a plus: Knowledge of other programming languages (LabView, C#, truescript), IoT-protocols (MQTT,OPC-CA) Experience with data processing and databases (SQLite). Data visualization for industrial applications using front-end development tools (e.g. Node.js) Experience with digital sensor interactions (hardware API’s) Minimum 3-5 years experience Language: Dutch, English (fluent); (as a part of a Japanese company is Japanese a plus, but not essential)
