Job Purpose
This role is responsible to develop and implement the clinical service in Jockey Club "age at home" Gerontech Education and Rental Services Center (JCGERSC) of Community Health Service. S/he will enable effective implementation of the action plan to achieve an evidenced-based, quality-assured and person-center ccupational therapy service, including staff and resources deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Centre Supervisor to develop Gerontech education and training activities and programmes to facilitate staff, service users, caregivers and general public's understanding on the Gerontech equipment in home environment and community Supervise care equipment counselors in conducting guide tour and/or workshop to enhance the knowledge and skills of the public to the usage of Gerontech equipments Develop Gerontech course curriculum for the human resource for the Gerontech service and to strengthen the capacity of existing service providers Provide assessment and consultation service to needy people who want to use/buy Gerontech equipments Establish clinical guidelines, protocols and service users' care process in Occupational Therapy service Establish and maintain effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including internal service teams, Government departments, local partners and private companies to gain collaboration, resources and support Carry out other duties deemed pertinent to achieving the goals of the project Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent qualification Registered Occupational Therapist in Part I of the Register under the Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance (Cap. 359) Holder of a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Occupational Therapists Board of Hong Kong Relevant post-registration working experience, with a passion for healthcare services and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life of older adults Experience in geriatric rehabilitation services and environmental modification is an advantage Mature, analytical, client-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua Contract period: until 31 August 2027 Work
