Ecommerce Assistant ManagerJob OverviewWe are looking for a commercially minded, data-driven, and execution-oriented Ecommerce Assistant Manager to support the Ecommerce Manager in managing regional ecommerce and omni-channel business. This role combines ecommerce operations with strategy development, target management, team supervision, performance reviews, and execution control. The successful candidate will oversee major ecommerce platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Shopee, and other regional marketplaces, as well as selected offline consumer channels. Extensive hands-on experience with every platform is not essential. However, candidates must possess strong ecommerce knowledge, commercial judgement, business logic, and a solid understanding of cross-border ecommerce and international brand development. The role reports directly to the Ecommerce Manager and requires regular travel to the Shenzhen office. Overseas travel may also be required for exhibitions and meetings with distributors or agents.

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecommerce, Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in ecommerce, online retail, marketplace operations, cross-border ecommerce, or omni-channel retail.
• Experience in a senior specialist, team lead, supervisory, or assistant manager role is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in ecommerce strategy, business planning, target setting, performance management, and execution.
• Experience supervising, coaching, reviewing, or coordinating the work of team members.
• Experience managing an ecommerce account, marketplace, market, or business portfolio of meaningful commercial scale. Experience managing the following scale is preferred:
• Monthly GMV of approximately HKD 2 million / USD 250,000 or above; or
• Annual GMV of approximately HKD 20 million / USD 2.5 million or above.
• Candidates with lower GMV exposure may still be considered if they demonstrate strong commercial judgement, strategic capabilities, and leadership potential.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce fundamentals, marketplace economics, B2C and D2C business models, and cross-border ecommerce.
• Solid understanding of international brand development and overseas market expansion.
• Strong commercial logic, including an understanding of the relationships between pricing, traffic, conversion, inventory, advertising, platform fees, logistics costs, and profitability.
• Ability to translate business objectives into strategies, targets, action plans, and measurable deliverables.
• Ability to evaluate marketplace performance without necessarily having hands-on experience with every platform.
• Strong data-analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Proven ability to conduct structured performance reviews, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Strong execution, project management, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, reporting, and business analysis.
• Practical experience using AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent solutions.
• Strong command of English, with effective communication skills in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Shenzhen and occasionally to overseas markets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-market, and multi-channel ecommerce environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, Best Buy, Shopee, or similar platforms.
• Ecommerce experience in NA, EU, SEA.
• Experience with consumer electronics, technology products, or related categories.
• Experience managing multiple markets or ecommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with marketplace policies, channel pricing, international logistics, product compliance, taxation, and local market requirements.
• Experience with international exhibitions, distributors, agents, or retail partners.
• Knowledge of ecommerce advertising, retail media, and ROAS optimisation.
• Familiarity with AI tools/prompting Key Performance IndicatorsPerformance may be assessed based on:
