Remote — Taiwan About the Opportunity Mercor is hiring Mandarin Chinese speakers to help capture and evaluate real, natural voice interactions with a next-generation AI assistant, in partnership with a leading AI research laboratory. In this role, you will use a specialized version of the AI application on your own Mac to complete everyday tasks through voice. You will then transcribe your spoken interactions, evaluate the AI's responses, and document task data in both Traditional Chinese and English. Your work will help improve the quality, naturalness, and reliability of voice-driven AI systems. Responsibilities Use voice commands to compose messages, emails, notes, and other everyday content. Direct the AI assistant to complete tasks such as: Generating images Formatting text Applying spreadsheet formulas Summarizing documents Perform realistic everyday workflows across common productivity applications. Accurately transcribe spoken Mandarin Chinese queries and interactions. Produce cleaned-up transcripts while preserving the intended meaning and natural language. Evaluate and rate AI-generated responses according to project guidelines. Record task information accurately in a structured tracking sheet. Upload required voice recordings and supporting materials to a shared drive. Perform structured quality checks on transcripts and task data. Follow project instructions and maintain consistent data quality throughout the engagement. Required Qualifications Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions provided in English. Must own a Mac computer with an Apple Silicon chip, including: M1 M2 M3 Mac must be running macOS Sequoia 15.0 or newer. Regular experience using common productivity applications, including: Email Messaging applications Documents Spreadsheets Web browsers Strong attention to detail. Comfortable with structured data entry and self-directed quality-review tasks. Ability to work independently and follow detailed project guidelines. Strong written and spoken Traditional Mandarin Chinese communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with voice-based AI assistants or conversational AI. Experience transcribing or reviewing spoken-language content. Familiarity with bilingual Traditional Chinese-English workflows. Experience evaluating AI-generated content or responses. Strong understanding of natural, everyday Mandarin Chinese usage in Taiwan. Previous experience with structured data collection or quality assurance. Eligibility Applicants should be Traditional Mandarin Chinese speakers, preferably based in or to Taiwan. Must be able to understand English instructions. Must own an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, or M3). Must be running macOS Sequoia 15.0 or newer. Must be comfortable using everyday productivity applications. Must be available to begin immediately.
