Lead Engineer | System Engineering 📍 Brussels, Belgium | At Prothya Biosolutions, we create life-saving plasma-derived medicines that improve the lives of millions of patients worldwide. To support our continued growth and innovation, we are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer System Engineering to join our Engineering team in Brussels. Your Mission As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role as System Architect, Technical System Owner, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) across one or more engineering domains such as equipment, utilities, automation, electricity, or OT systems. You will define the long-term technical vision, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the reliability and sustainability of critical engineering systems within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities
🔹 System Architect Define and maintain forward-looking technical roadmaps. Monitor industry and GMP trends to shape future engineering strategies. Conduct feasibility studies and capacity analyses to support business decisions and investments. 🔹 Technical System Owner Act as the technical authority throughout the system lifecycle. Lead design reviews and ensure documentation remains compliant and up-to-date. Support operations through failure analysis and root cause investigations. 🔹 Subject Matter Expert Provide expert technical guidance and coaching to engineering colleagues. Share best practices across the organization. 🔹 Project Leadership Develop and defend business cases for system improvements. Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation. Apply project management and lifecycle management principles to ensure successful delivery. What You Bring ✅ Master's Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineer, Civil Engineer, or equivalent) ✅ Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including experience in a similar engineering role ✅ Strong expertise in one or more of the following domains: Equipment Utilities Automation Electricity Operational Technology (OT) ✅ Good knowledge of GMP and GEP requirements within regulated industries ✅ Experience managing engineering projects and collaborating with multiple stakeholders ✅ Excellent communication skills in English, combined with French and/or Dutch ✅ Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement Why Join Prothya Biosolutions?
