You will design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services and business logic, developing APIs and data-storage solutions while integrating front-end elements with server-side logic. The role involves implementing authentication, secure coding, logging and monitoring, as well as performing unit/integration testing and CI/CD integration to troubleshoot and optimise performance for this high-impact platform. đ Requirements
âą University degree equivalent to EQF Level 7 (Master's degree or equivalent to five years of higher education).
âą Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience.
âą English B2 or higher, both written and spoken.
âą 10+ years of experience in Java application design and development, including I/O, concurrency, localisation and modern Java features.
âą 10+ years of combined experience with MariaDB and MySQL.
âą 10+ years of experience with JPA/Hibernate.
âą 10+ years of experience with RESTful API development and service integration.
âą 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Cassandra and Redis.
âą Strong knowledge of production-grade Spring and Spring Boot development.
âą Experience with Kafka messaging middleware and Microservices architecture.
âą Expertise in processing Big Data in Parquet format.
âą Proven experience in scalable architectures for large media-data processing, analytics, data pipelines and interactive dashboards/visualisation.
âą Knowledge of Cloud back-end basics (serverless functions, storage accounts and managed Kubernetes).
âą Solid understanding of security, CI/CD, testing and monitoring. â
