Join our Equities team in Hong Kong and help shape the next generation of equity strategy products across Asia Pacific. Working closely with the Head of APAC Equity Microstrategy, you will support the development of differentiated investment insights at the intersection of fundamentals, thematic investing, market structure, and alternative data. This is a unique opportunity for a technically minded and intellectually curious individual to apply data and technology to uncover investment opportunities across markets and sectors.
We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.
What role will you play?
In a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will apply data science, automation, and visualisation techniques to uncover opportunities across markets, sectors, and companies. Partnering closely with Equity Research, Sales, and Trading teams, you will contribute to research projects, communicate key findings, and help translate analytical outputs into commercially relevant insights. You will analyse large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and signals that can inform investment decisions.
Leveraging data from financial information platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, exchange datasets, alternative data providers, and internal research resources, you will transform complex information into actionable insights and support the development of innovative equity strategy products. Success in the role requires intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while combining technical expertise with commercial thinking.
