Mission Overview:
Keystone Solutions is seeking a Linked Open Data Specialist for a consultancy mission at a client site. The consultant will work closely with domain experts and data specialists to prepare the transformation of BelgoNyms data into Linked Open Data (LOD).
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a strategic and technical study to prepare the transformation of BelgoNyms data into Linked Open Data. Conceptual Modeling: Analyze BelgoNyms data and its structure. Identify business entities, attributes, and relationships. Produce a documented conceptual model. Create necessary diagrams and graphical representations (UML, RDF, or equivalent). Semantic Modeling: Identify relevant ontologies and vocabularies. Evaluate existing standards. Align the business model with selected vocabularies. Identify necessary semantic extensions. Define a target semantic model. Use Cases and Business Needs: Identify stakeholders. Facilitate workshops. Inventory and prioritize use cases. Define competency questions to validate the model. Reference Data and Interconnection: Identify relevant external reference data. Evaluate alignment possibilities with reference sources. Identify interconnection opportunities with reference data sources such as Wikidata, GeoNames, or INSPIRE. Formulate interoperability recommendations. Governance of Identifiers: Define a governance strategy for URIs/IRIs. Recommend mechanisms to ensure the stability and sustainability of identifiers. Define naming conventions and management rules. Architecture and Technologies: Evaluate RDF modeling and transformation tools. Evaluate solutions for data publication and storage. Propose a target architecture. Recommend the most suitable tools for the client's context. Roadmap: Define implementation phases. Identify dependencies and risks. Establish indicative planning. Formulate final recommendations.
