The opportunity
Are you looking for a mandatory internship where you can gain hands-on experience in talent attraction, employer branding and recruitment within an international humanitarian organisation?
Our Recruitment Unit in Brussels is looking for an intern who is curious, organised and eager to learn, and who wants to contribute to meaningful recruitment and employer-branding projects. You will work alongside recruitment and talent-attraction professionals and get an insight into how recruitment works in an international MSF environment.
This is a full-time internship of 4 to 6 months for students who are fluent in both French and English.
About the Recruitment Unit
Within the People & Workforce Department of MSF Belgium (Operational Centre Brussels), the Recruitment Unit (RU) is the go-to unit for issues and activities related to recruitment.
Within the unit, the Talent Attraction & HR Marketing Team works across:
• Talent attraction and employer-branding strategies and activities
• Talent-attraction tools and campaigns
• Recruitment administration and coordination
• Information, communication, processes and knowledge management What you will contribute to As a Recruitment Marketing & Support Intern, you will support the Talent Attraction & HR Marketing Officers across recruitment marketing, recruitment operations and knowledge management. The exact balance of activities will vary according to the team's priorities and your learning opportunities. Talent attraction & employer branding
• Publish job vacancies on the appropriate channels and help ensure that vacancies are visible to the audiences we want to reach.
• Create attractive and accessible visuals for recruitment-related social media publications.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of our digital content calendar and social media content.
• Support recruitment marketing activities and projects, such as recruitment information sessions, webinars, events, leaflets, posters and other campaigns.
• Bring ideas and perspectives that can help us communicate MSF career opportunities clearly and authentically. Recruitment support & coordination
• Monitor and respond to questions received through the Recruitment Unit's generic email addresses, with support from the team where needed.
• Follow up on job-opening and publication requests.
• Help coordinate HR intakes with recruiters and relevant stakeholders, such as line managers and HR referents.
• Support recruiters and Talent Attraction Officers with recruitment-related activities, depending on the needs of the team. This may include first screening of applications, scheduling interviews, coordinating meeting rooms and communicating with candidates.
• Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the unit, including meeting agendas, templates, reminders, follow-ups and room bookings. Information, knowledge & data
• Help maintain and update recruitment information and files on SharePoint.
• Support the finalisation and communication of recruitment guidelines and processes, with a focus on clarity, accessibility and user-friendliness.
• Support monthly statistics and data-collection activities using Excel. What will help you succeed in this internship? We are interested in candidates who are motivated to learn and contribute. You do not need to have experience in every area listed below; relevant studies, experience, curiosity and transferable skills can all be valuable. Essential
• Ongoing studies in HR, Marketing, Communication, International Relations, Psychology or another relevant field.
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written. This is required because the role involves communicating with candidates and internal stakeholders in both languages.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt content and tone to different audiences.
• Interest in and/or some experience with talent attraction, recruitment, HR, administration, employer branding, communication or related activities.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks and priorities with appropriate support.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently when needed. An asset
• Knowledge of or experience with social media, digital marketing, copywriting, websites or related tools and platforms.
• Dutch language skills.

Brussels (Belgium) – presence at the Brussels Office is required Due to legal and administrative constraints, candidates must already be resident in Belgium or have a residence right as a student in Belgium or in the European Union allowing them to move and study in the EU and with the willingness to relocate in Belgium at their own costs. Contract type: Unpaid student internship – mandatory convention to be provided by the school Internship duration: Minimum 4 months; up to 6 months Time allocation: Full-time (Monday to Friday) Reimbursement: 100% of public transport costs in case of travel to the office, and €7/day worked in the office to cover lunch costs. Interns are expected to adhere to the MSF principles and our managerial values: Respect, Transparency, Integrity, Accountability, Trust and Empowerment. Interns are also expected to adhere to the MSF Behavioral Commitments.
