Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate HSE activities on site.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, legislation and client requirements.
• Act as the main HSE contact for Project Management, the Client and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks and HSE meetings.
• Identify hazards, review risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor HSE performance, investigate incidents and near misses, and drive improvement actions.
• Manage HSE documentation, reporting and project KPIs.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support HSE Supervisors and site personnel. Requirements
• Proven experience as an HSE Manager on industrial construction projects.
• Experience in thermal insulation (hot & cold insulation) is highly preferred.
• Valid VCA VOL certification – mandatory.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken – mandatory.
• Good knowledge of HSE regulations and safe working practices.
• Knowledge of Belgian HSE legislation and regulations related to the role is highly preferred.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid EU work authorization / legal eligibility to work in Belgium is mandatory at the time of hiring. We welcome applications from both employees and freelance/consultancy professionals. Salary (employees): € 45,000 – € 60,000 gross per year, depending on experience. Freelance consultants: competitive daily rate to be agreed based on experience.
