NDP Project Leader

ACENSI is looking for a NDP Project Leader for one of their clients based in Brussels in the energy sector : RESPONSABILITIES The consultant will combine hands-on drafting of selected NDP deliverables or content building blocks with active steering of the assigned workstreams, ensuring that inputs are structured, challenged and translated into clear outputs that keep the overall process moving forward. Public consultation activities are also a clear part of the role, from preparation and follow-up to the consolidation, analysis and integration of comments into the relevant NDP workstreams. In practice, the role requires: ▪ Progressive ownership of assigned NDP workstreams, potentially across several molecule-related NDPs in parallel; ▪ Autonomous internal coordination, including process management, planning and follow-up across multiple contributors; ▪ Clear, regular reporting to the NDP Manager, including progress status, key risks, open points, bottlenecks and decisions required; ▪ Contribution to direct coordination with authorities and external stakeholders, together with the NDP Manager. Process, workstream management & coordination ▪ Take ownership of assigned NDP workstreams across one or several molecule-related NDPs, ensuring progress against timelines and deliverables; ▪ Follow up on contributions, actions, dependencies and internal deadlines to keep the assigned workstreams moving forward; ▪ Prepare trackers, status updates and progress overviews to support roadmap, planning and critical path management. Meetings & governance ▪ Prepare materials for meetings with authorities, external stakeholders and internal steering committees, in close coordination with the NDP Manager; ▪ Draft minutes, consolidate feedback and ensure follow-up; ▪ Drive internal follow-up autonomously after meetings, including actions, inputs, deadlines and preparation of escalation points; ▪ Support agenda management and internal status meetings. Documentation & quality control ▪ Draft first versions of selected NDP sections, deliverables or building blocks, even when inputs are incomplete, in order to provide concrete material to review, challenge and iterate on; ▪ Coordinate, consolidate and critically challenge inputs provided by internal contributors to ensure coherence, completeness, regulatory alignment and quality of deliverables; ▪ Coordinate public consultation activities, including preparation of consultation materials, follow-up of comments received, consolidation of feedback, response tables and integration of relevant outcomes into the NDP process. Data gathering ▪ Collect and organise required data from internal contributors (Finance, Asset Delivery, Business Development, etc.); ▪ Perform basic checks and ensure timely delivery of inputs. PROFIL The position can be suitable for either a junior university graduate with strong motivation and learning agility, or a more experienced consultant, provided the candidate demonstrates clear ownership potential, strong coordination capabilities and the ability to grow quickly into a project leadership role. The consultant must be able to structure complex topics, mobilise contributors, anticipate bottlenecks, manage internal follow-up with increasing autonomy and escalate risks or decisions at the right level. Experience & education ▪ University degree in engineering, applied sciences, economics, energy systems or another analytical field (required or strongly preferred, depending on the candidate's overall profile); ▪ Open to a junior university graduate with strong motivation, learning agility and leadership potential, as well as to candidates with initial or several years of relevant experience in project management, process coordination, regulatory workstreams or technical environments; ▪ Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of complex deliverables and drive progress with limited day-to-day supervision; ▪ Ability to manage priorities across several parallel workstreams and molecule-related planning processes; ▪ For a junior profile, clear leadership potential, maturity and ability to take ownership are essential; ▪ Strong AI proficiency is an absolute must-have to support efficient drafting, analysis, synthesis, review, coordination follow-up and overall process management; ▪ Experience acting as project lead, workstream owner or coordinator in a multi stakeholder environment is an asset; ▪ Previous experience in the energy, infrastructure or regulatory sectors is an asset, but is not mandatory; ▪ Familiarity with environmental assessment topics, including Strategic Environmental Assessment, is an asset but is not a strict requirement.
