Your mission:
You are the main contact person for technical discussions between the different teams and solution providers of different building blocks in the total solution (warhead, safety system, vector, flight control, C2,…).
You are leading the technical roadmap and are streamlining the different development tracks within the internal teams and external partners.
You stay up to date with the latest evolutions in Loitering Munition and are able to integrate fast changing requirements into a highly regulated product development track.
Your
responsibilities:
You take responsibility for the entire range of system architecture related topics:
• Understand technical requirements of the different components of a Loitering Munition System.
• Define specific requirements and develop statements of work for future developments.
• Evaluate and respond to tenders.
• Identify the best technical solution proposed by internal teams, partners and suppliers.
• Set-up a network of partners and suppliers.
• Oversee technical progress and roadmap implementation.
• Participate in pre-sales conversation to provide the best technical advice.
• Coordinate multiple stack-holders during the entire lifecycle of product development (R&D, Production, Quality, Maintenance, purchasing, suppliers,…). You are the main technical responsible for the overall system development connecting all the technical dots while collaborating with the different subject matter experts.
Your profile
You have a previous experience as a System Engineer for drone or aircraft development. Focusing on the overall system development. Your
qualifications:
• An engineering degree (Electronics, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or proven equivalent experience;
• Prior experience in UAV development;
• A professional working level of English and French;
• Able to work in Belgium;
• Comply to the condition to obtain a Security Clearance;
• Experience with munition development is not needed; Apart from your professional track record, we are also looking for a person that:
• Solution oriented with a clear focus on balancing technical complexity and industrial reliability
• Pragmatic and close to the different teams
• Able to work in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Naturel leader, relying on your technical contribution rather than hierarchical authority
• Gifted with an excellent set of communication skills both in commercial and technical conversations.
