Business Analyst

We are looking for a highly adaptable Business Analyst to support a fast-paced and evolving finance transformation environment. The team is currently facing a significant workload driven by critical upcoming deliverables, shifting priorities, and continuously evolving business requirements. The successful candidate will operate in a dynamic setting where not all requirements are fully defined upfront. We are therefore looking for someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, works proactively, and can quickly understand both financial and technical topics. Rather than waiting for detailed instructions, this person takes ownership, asks the right questions, and actively helps bring structure and clarity to complex situations. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Technology, requiring close collaboration with Finance stakeholders, FP&A teams, Business Controllers, Consolidation teams, and other internal stakeholders. A significant part of the role will focus on gathering, clarifying, and translating business requirements related to processes and systems. The consultant will support the delivery of key project milestones while helping stakeholders navigate ongoing changes, new requirements, and evolving priorities. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-speed environment, remains effective under changing circumstances, and is energized by solving problems in situations where not everything is known from day one. The ideal candidate can quickly grasp both financial and technical concepts, communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders, and adapt easily as priorities shift. Strong communication skills, flexibility, proactivity, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. This is not a role for someone who requires a highly structured environment with clearly defined requirements from the outset. • Elicit, challenge, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Finance and other business domains.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and support solution design activities.
• Act as a trusted partner for stakeholders by understanding both business objectives and system capabilities.
• Facilitate communication between business users, project teams, and technical experts.
• Analyze processes, data flows, and business challenges to identify effective solutions.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of finance-related systems and processes.
• Participate in functional analysis, testing, and validation activities to ensure successful delivery.
• Work with financial stakeholders to understand reporting, planning, consolidation, and performance management requirements.
• Assist in data analysis and reconciliation efforts where required.
• Adapt quickly to changing business priorities and support multiple initiatives simultaneously. Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred, but strong relevant experience and BA/MA level of thinking/capabilities can compensate.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced corporate environment Must Have Skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with limited guidance.
• Understanding of finance terminology and financial processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Business Controllers, FP&A teams, and Finance stakeholders.
• Experience with requirements gathering and functional analysis.
• Strong Excel skills.

• Exposure to Snowflake.
• Basic SQL knowledge.

• Experience in telecommunications, utilities, or other large corporate environments.
• Dutch language skills.
