(Medior) Quality Assurance Officer

Context AETHER is a key partner for intrapreneurial projects in Belgium, and we want to reinforce our support in the energy transmission sector, which is facing interesting challenges regarding the deployment and quality governance of high-voltage grid equipment. New projects are indeed essential to ensure the continuous reliability, security, and performance of electrical infrastructure across Belgian networks through robust quality standards. Hence why we are looking for a medior Quality Assurance Officer to strengthen our team of Project Partners. Task Description As an AETHER Project Partner embedded within the project team, your objective will be to develop, coordinate, and execute quality assurance frameworks for high-voltage equipment while supporting internal quality governance and supplier compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Might Include
• Quality Management framework
• Analyse and map operational requirements to establish a lean and effective Quality Management framework.
• Interface and align framework standards with internal and international partner stakeholders.
• Define and validate the governance framework alongside structured timelines and milestones.
• Roll out the framework with emphasis on clear communication and progress reporting.
• External Quality Assurance
• Participate in manufacturing site audits alongside technical specialists to evaluate supplier quality systems.
• Establish, update, and deploy quality control guidelines for on-site installation of electrical equipment.
• Build and manage a vendor quality tracking dashboard utilizing qualitative feedback and performance KPIs.
• Supervise external inspection operations, notably Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests for critical equipment.
• Steer the resolution of non-conformities and action plans drawing on lessons learned from fabrication and commissioning.
• Internal Quality Assurance
• Coordinate the structured storage, publication, and archiving of engineering records across document management systems and technical databases.
• Facilitate the deployment and administration of supplier document sharing platforms during contract execution.
• Document, model, and maintain departmental operational processes using flowcharts, SIPOC diagrams, and BPMN methodology. Profile
• Degree in engineering or technical disciplines, or equivalent professional background.
• Practical experience in quality management frameworks and supplier quality surveillance.
• Strong background in modeling and documenting business processes.
• Familiarity with high-voltage or primary electrical power equipment.
• Structured methodology, proactive mindset, and meticulous attention to technical details.
• Comfort working with structured procedures, standard templates, and enterprise software systems.
• Open demeanor with intellectual curiosity and a strong drive to learn.
• Readiness to conduct local site visits in Belgium and occasional supplier visits across Europe.
• Professional proficiency in English; working knowledge of French or Dutch is a significant asset.
• Ability to work on-site 2 days per week in the Brussels area.
• An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic as well).
