Iglo Belgium is part of Nomad Foods, Europeâs leading frozen food company âïž.
Through our iconic and trusted legacy brands, we bring to life products that consumers love and rely on every day, from Captain Igloâs Fish Fingers to Belviva Belgian friesđ.
Joining us means contributing to a company where quality is at the heart of everything we do â from product development to the consumerâs plate â and where we are committed to delivering food that is not only great-tasting, but also nutritious, sustainable and accessible to all.
As Research, Development and Quality Intern, you are part of the RDQ Team and will report to the RDQ Manager in Brussels. You will have significant interaction with the Marketing team and other departments.
Your
Key Responsibilities
As RDQ Intern, you aim to support the Belgian team in their mission to influence the future of Nomad Foods to be a key player in delivering better food to people every day. The role largely consists of two hats;
- Quality: Supporting in setting up procedures and ensuring quality-control for all Iglo Belgium products, in order to ensure product conformity across the range.
- R&D: Supporting the product developers in their development of new and improved products, and support in setting and following up product tastings. You will contribute to Quality procedures and Safety documents for the companyâs site in Brussels, as well as establishing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues within the local Business Unit, and the wider RDQ community. Moreover, you will be responsible for setting up product tastings, writing reports with R&D and the commercial team for product development, quality review and post-launch review. By doing so, you will review and update local procedures for samples management from reception to storage and sharing with external people, while keeping up with recent updates of Nomad codes of practises for quality and safety. About You
âą You have experience with or knowledge of product safety and quality.
âą Experience with or knowledge of product development and sensory testing is a plus.
âą You are a Master student in a relevant area (ex: food science).
âą You have excellent communication skills in English and French or Dutch.
âą You are proactive and organised, have a creative mindset, and you are detail-oriented. You are a highly energized fast-learner.
âą You are familiar with MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint.
âą You are ready for a 3 to 6 months internship and available as of September (A 6-month internship is strongly preferred, as it allows enough time to properly onboard, gain autonomy, and make a meaningful contribution to the team. Given the scope of the role, shorter internships often do not provide sufficient time to fully integrate and have a real impact.) What you can expect At Iglo Belgium, we are continuously staying up to date with the latest trends and market developments, scanning for new opportunities to act fast.
We offer
you the opportunity to look behind the scenes of a successful FMCG company. Want to come on board? đ Apply via LinkedIn. Due to the expected high volume of applications, candidates will be reviewed throughout November. While we carefully consider every application, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and individual feedback cannot be guaranteed.
