INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY – DEEP TECH VENTURE CAPITAL

2. THE OPPORTUNITYAs our platform expands, we are looking for a technically astute and entrepreneurial Analyst Intern to work directly with our founding team. You will contribute to investment sourcing and assessment, support thesis development around relevant investment domains and work alongside selected portfolio companies.
Our ambition is for the right candidate to step up into a full-time analyst role following successful completion of the internship, subject to performance and mutual fit.
3. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON1. Take ownership of maintaining, structuring and expanding R:W’s deal sourcing engine.
2. Support the team with thesis development and sector mapping across potential investment areas.
3. Support internal decision making by helping prepare concise initial assessment notes and investment
committee memoranda.
4. Work with one or two portfolio companies on focused “sprint” exercises in close collaboration with the corresponding management teams.
5. Contribute to selected R:W platform initiatives as priorities develop.
4. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR1. You have an insatiable thirst to learn about new technology pathways and understand how they could be applied into the real world.
2. You have recently completed a master’s degree in science or in engineering, such as chemistry, biotechnology, materials science, physics, energy, mechanical or process engineering. We also welcome business engineering, economics or finance candidates who can demonstrate a strong affinity with industrial technology.
3. You know your way around a balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statement and have a good notion of basic corporate finance concepts.
4. You are AI-savvy and proactively explore and test emerging tools. You identify practical applications across the R:W workflows and you take initiative in turning ideas into action.
5. You are able to see work independently and you take initiative. You are a self-starter who’s comfortable working independently.
6. You are comfortable working in a results-driven environment that evaluates your contribution based on value created, rather than hours spent or number of pages produced.
7. You have strong attention to detail and you consistently go the extra mile. You understand that the quality of presentation materials matters and you enter meetings well prepared.
8. You are able to explain a complex topic clearly in plain language. Excellent written and spoken English is important.
9. You maintain a proactive dialogue with the rest of the team and you respond to team members timely and effectively.
10. You are flexible and responsive to changing priorities, including occasional work outside standard office hours when a deal requires it or when a virtual meeting with an international portfolio company is required.
11. You work in a structured, organised and consistent way.
Previous internship experience in venture capital, investment banking, project finance or private equity is a plus, but is not strictly required.

6. COMPENSATION§ This is a paid internship, with remuneration in line with the candidate’s relevant experience.
7. DURATION AND START DATE§ Duration: six months, full-time internship position.
§ Target start date: November 2026.
8. LOCATIONThis role is remote with office space available in Antwerp or London for those candidates who prefer a hybrid or office-based set up.
