Senior Test Automation Engineer

Responsibility
• Participate in different phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT projects and collaborate with various IT stakeholders, including third-party vendors, development teams, business analysts, project managers, and project stakeholders, to discuss testing activities.
• Review business requirements, user stories, and technical designs to identify quality risks and determine effective automation and AI-assisted testing solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, reusable components, and quality engineering standards.
• Utilize AI technologies across the testing lifecycle, including test design, test generation, test data preparation, automation development, defect analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• Create reusable AI-assisted testing methods, prompt libraries, and automation accelerators to enhance testing efficiency and productivity.
• Assess, review, and verify AI-generated outputs to ensure quality, accuracy, security, compliance, and business relevance.
• Research, assess, and adopt emerging AI-enabled testing capabilities and automation technologies to enhance quality engineering effectiveness.
• Perform and support automated and AI-assisted testing activities to verify application functionality, reliability, performance, and business processes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving automation frameworks, test environments, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted testing workflows.
• Identify, analyze, document, and monitor defects, perform root cause analysis, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Coach Automation Engineers and promote automation best practices, AI adoption, and quality engineering excellence.
• Develop and maintain automation documentation, framework standards, AI usage guidelines, and testing artefacts in line with organizational requirements.
• Comply with IT Quality Control, SDLC, Project Governance, and internal and regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Macau Gambling Regulatory Authority (DICJ) guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out any other ancillary tasks or duties assigned by the team lead. Requirement：
• At least eight years of experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
• Proven expertise is required in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale automation frameworks and automated testing solutions using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, VBScript, or similar technologies are required, along with practical experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent technologies to improve software testing and automation productivity.
• A strong understanding of Generative AI concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, RAG, MCP, AI Agents, Agentic workflow, and AI-assisted software development practices is preferred.
• Practical experience is required in applying AI-assisted tools throughout software testing activities.
• A strong QA mindset is required, with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with business requirements.
• An understanding is required of AI governance, responsible AI usage, data security, privacy, and enterprise compliance requirements.
• Candidates must communicate excellently in both Chinese and English, possess interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and be able to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional technical and business teams
