About ORNA Robotics We build the next generation of accessible industrial automation by combining LLM-assisted programming and AI-powered vision into an all-in-one robotics platform. The Role You will design and implement the software and AI systems powering our industrial robots. Working closely with our cross-functional R&D teams, you will integrate cutting-edge AI—including Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models—and troubleshoot complex automation workflows to translate innovation into scalable products.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the core robotic software stack using ROS 2.
• Design and integrate 3D vision algorithms and VLA models for automated picking, sorting, and assembly.
• Optimize robotic motion planning and execution for industrial reliability.
• Iterate and test physical prototypes in collaboration with the Shenzhen R&D team. Core Qualifications
• Hands-on & Competition

Experience:
Proven track record of building end-to-end robotics projects. Active participation or leadership in recognized robotics competitions is highly preferred.
• AI & Vision Expertise: Strong experience with Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and 3D perception pipelines. Proficient with depth sensors (RealSense, Zivid) and processing data via PCL or OpenCV.
• Software & ROS 2: Advanced C++ and Python skills in Linux environments. Professional proficiency in the ROS 2 ecosystem (e.g., Humble, Iron), including node composition, Nav2, and MoveIt 2.
• Spatial Intelligence: Experience in object detection, 6D pose estimation, and point cloud registration/segmentation.
•

Education:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Bonus Points (Strong Plus)
• Industrial Integration: Experience interfacing with industrial robotic arms (UR, FANUC, KUKA) and PLC systems.
• Protocols: Familiarity with industrial communication standards (Modbus, OPC UA, EtherCAT). Logistics & Environment
• Mobility: Flexibility to travel between Hong Kong and Shenzhen for work
• Culture: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly innovative startup setting.
