THE OPPORTUNITY As Commercial Director Benelux, you will translate our commercial strategy into impactful execution across the region. Reporting to the General Manager Benelux, you will shape and implement the sales and promotional strategy while ensuring sustainable growth across our different retail channels, with a particular focus on pharmacies. You will lead a multidisciplinary commercial team covering field sales, key accounts, e-commerce key accounts and sales administration. Combining strategic vision with a strong field presence, you will develop our commercial capabilities, strengthen customer relationships and create the conditions for your team and our brands to thrive. WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO
• Define and propose a field sales and promotional strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
• Lead the implementation of the regional sales strategy and monitor its effectiveness.
• Build and strengthen relationships with wholesalers, purchasing groups, retail partners and key accounts.
• Develop and execute trade plans tailored to the different distribution channels.
• Drive balanced sales and sustainable growth across pharmacies, specialist retailers, wholesalers and e-commerce channels.
• Optimise the organisation, coordination, productivity and effectiveness of the sales force.
• Monitor commercial performance and relevant KPIs, identify opportunities or gaps and translate insights into clear action plans.
• Prepare and manage commercial budgets and monitor revenue development by customer.
• Ensure that negotiated commercial agreements are implemented consistently across customers and channels.
• Champion a strong customer service approach and use insights and tools to monitor customer satisfaction.
• Identify initiatives that increase brand visibility, customer engagement and daily sales in pharmacies.
• Represent the business at relevant professional, customer and public-relations events.
• Recruit, lead, coach and develop the commercial team while fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Support team members in the field and help them achieve their quantitative and qualitative objectives.
• Strengthen the team’s knowledge of our products, customers and market.
• Collaborate closely with marketing and other internal stakeholders to ensure strong and consistent commercial execution. WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE MUST-HAVE:
• Solid leadership experience within a commercial or sales management position.
• Proven experience leading and developing field-based commercial teams.
• Strong knowledge of the dermocosmetics, cosmetics, pharmacy or health and beauty environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiation and key account management.
• Experience preparing and monitoring budgets and commercial performance.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret KPIs and translate them into pragmatic action plans.
• The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and a visible presence in the field.
• Strong stakeholder-management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• A structured, organised and results-oriented approach.
• Confidence working with commercial reporting tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in Dutch and French, with a good working knowledge of English.
• The flexibility to travel regularly within the Benelux region and attend relevant professional events. NICE-TO-HAVE:
• Experience working specifically within the dermocosmetics or pharmacy channel.
• Knowledge of both sell-in and sell-out commercial models.
• Experience managing sales across multiple retail and digital channels.
• Familiarity with sales force effectiveness methodologies and trade-related tools.
