As Teamleader IS (Individual Section machine), you work in a day shift role and carry overarching responsibility for the teams and shift leaders operating in a 6-shift system. As an IS Teamleader, you are also responsible for our Individual Section machines and production processes, ensuring our production lines perform at their best and that bottles of the highest quality are produced. With your technical expertise, people skills, and keen eye for quality, you help us build a sustainable future in glass packaging. Then you might be our new bottle specialist Core Responsibilities & Main Tasks Operational Leadership Lead and coach 6 teams of IS operators, each with their own shift leader Ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality production process and communicate this vision clearly to all teams Monitor and adjust machine settings, feeder parameters, and production parameters within agreed frameworks Oversee planning and production to guarantee continuous output Monitor process parameters, verify controls, and guide root cause analyses in case of escalated breakdowns or deviations Work closely with your shift leaders and department engineers, while maintaining cross-departmental collaboration Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and act as a role model in safe working practices Coordinate with maintenance teams to plan and follow up necessary repairs to ensure uninterrupted production Quality, Innovation & SustainabilityPeople & DevelopmentReporting & Continuous Improvement Safeguard product and process quality in close collaboration with the Quality Department Actively contribute to process improvements, digitalization, and innovation initiatives within and across departments, focusing on efficiency, process stability, and sustainability Analyze production and machine parameters with attention to efficiency, sustainability, and quality Monitor production data to detect trends and identify improvement opportunities Be visibly present on the shop floor to motivate teams and foster collaboration and communication Provide internal training to new colleagues and stimulate knowledge sharing so everyone grows with both processes and technology Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues within and across departments Support shift leaders in performance and development discussions Manage shift schedules, vacation planning, and ensure balanced staffing Conduct recruitment interviews for new glassmakers Report on performance, KPIs, and action plans, in collaboration with IS engineers when needed, to ensure efficient and critical analysis Safeguard the accuracy of process data Provide input for budgets, maintenance and material needs, and workforce planning Ensure standardized ways of working across teams by maintaining up-to-date process documentation and ensuring compliance Qualifications, Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a process or production environment is a strong asset Experience in glass production is essential Leadership experience or readiness to grow into a leadership role, supported by additional training Solid knowledge of production processes and IS machine systems Analytical and decisive, with a natural focus on quality, efficiency, and safety Strong communication skills with a healthy dose of empathy Good knowledge of Excel Fluent in both Dutch and English Driven by sustainability, continuous improvement, and teamwork Why Ciner Glass?
