Work you'll do
• Manage a portfolio of financial services clients and handle their International and Hong Kong tax matters
• Advise on a wide range of tax matters from compliance to planning with a focus on FSIE regime, Pillar 2 and Hong Kong’s QDMTT issues for financial industry
• Lead cross-border tax related projects and provide advice that align with client objectives and financial industry standards
• Apply practical technical knowledge when working with financial services clients, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored tax solutions
• Assist partners and directors in identifying and developing solutions for financial services clients in view of changes in tax and accounting regulations in Hong Kong and globally
• Understanding and explaining the tax implications of expansion, acquisition, divestment, and reorganization in local and international contexts
• Work closely with other service lines (e.g. Audit, Consulting) and other Deloitte offices in China or overseas to deliver cross-functional and/or cross-border projects During your tenure with us, you will demonstrate and develop your leadership and professional capabilities in the following areas: Inspiring, Creating purpose, Driving agility, Building diverse capability, Influencing, Collaborating, Delivering value, Building the business, Analytical acumen, Effective communication, Engagement management/delivery excellence, Managing change, Managing quality & risk, Sales excellence, Strategic thinking and problem solving, and Tech savviness. We are looking for someone with
• Comprehensive technical skills pertinent to the financial services industry together with successful experience in identifying client needs
• Over 10 years of experience in tax function with CPA firms (Big 4 experience is preferred), law firms or large corporations with a key focus on financial services (Banking, insurance, asset management, and credit services)
• International tax experience is preferred but not required
• A willingness to challenge the status quo
