Within a Novalix insourcing team based in a pharmaceutical company, you will play a key role in the synthesis of complex molecules to support drug discovery programs.
This position is offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract to support ongoing project activities. You will join a dynamic and highly motivated team, committed to exploring innovative synthetic routes through passionate scientific exchange.
The exact scope of responsibilities and level of autonomy will be adapted according to the successful candidate's educational background and professional experience.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Elaborating and conducting multi-step organic syntheses to deliver new chemical entities.
• Ensuring that all batches delivered meet the expected quantities, purities, timelines and quality standards required by the projects.
• Participating actively in the design, evaluation and optimization of synthetic routes.
• Performing scientific and technological watch, using retrosynthetic analysis tools and literature data to propose and justify efficient and innovative synthetic routes.
• Managing assigned projects and experimental activities with an appropriate level of autonomy, including planning, prioritization and regular scientific interactions with the client.
• Ensuring proper documentation, reporting and communication of results to your management and to the client, in line with our standards.
• Contributing to a safe working environment by applying good laboratory practices and HSE rules. Projects can involve both the reproduction and optimization of already established syntheses as well as the setting up of novel procedures leading to innovative molecules for therapeutic ends. Profile You hold either:
• a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field, or
• a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry (or equivalent) with significant practical experience in multi-step organic synthesis gained in an industrial or academic environment. In both cases, you have demonstrated strong laboratory skills and the ability to contribute effectively to complex synthetic chemistry projects. You are passionate about chemistry, scientifically curious and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility. You are recognized for:
• your rigor, organization and autonomy.
• your ability to manage several priorities in a project-driven environment.
• your team spirit and your ability to interact efficiently with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• your excellent scientific reporting and communication skills. Temporay contract of 6 months.
