China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”. Responsibilities
• Carry out full inspection of architectural, structural, finishing, curtain wall, drainage, roofing, external and landscape works.
• Perform material acceptance control, checking delivered materials and samples against approved submissions.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date site records, including site diaries, inspection records and progress photographs.
• Coordinate and attend handover inspections and defect inspections with relevant parties. Requirements
• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building / Building Studies from a recognized Hong Kong institution, or equivalent.
• Level 2 / Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKCEE, or equivalent (Grade E in Syllabus B under the pre-2007 HKCEE syllabus is accepted).
• Minimum 10 years of total site experience, with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience as a Clerk of Works.
• Completed the following mandatory safety training courses:
• Occupational Safety and Health Management Course
• Basic Accident Prevention Course
• Construction Industry Safety Card Course (Green Card)
• Certified Worker Training Course for Confined Spaces
