Key responsibilities
• Define and communicate the product vision together with key stakeholders.
• Translate the product vision into concrete plans, priorities and deliverables.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog.
• Define and refine epics, features and user stories.
• Manage business value and delivery priorities.
• Support client implementations of payment products and services.
• Act as Product Owner within a Payments Tribe.
• Cover both creditor and debtor aspects of SEPA Direct Debit.
• Work with PSP clients and connectivity to multiple Clearing & Settlement Houses.
• Participate in refinement, iteration planning and other agile ceremonies.
• Align stakeholders around priorities, objectives and solutions.
• Define objectives and track results.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the agile organization. 👤
Your profile
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Payments and Receivables.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
• Experience in project and stakeholder management.
• Strong knowledge of SEPA Direct Debit / Receivables.
• Experience within the financial services industry, preferably in payments.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to bring people together around a shared vision and objectives.
• Strategic and conceptual thinking combined with a hands-on approach.
• Strong affinity with IT and technology.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Excellent English and good knowledge of at least one national language: Dutch or French.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience. ⭐ Nice to have
• Business Analyst background with strong technical affinity.
• Leadership, coaching and stakeholder alignment experience.
• Strategic thinking and strong helicopter view.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Experience working in complex financial/payment environments.
• Product Owner certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Paris or Lisbon.
