Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive Bookkeeper to join our Brussels office. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day financial record-keeping and support operations within our fast-paced, multilingual Public Affairs environment. The ideal candidate is well-organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing key priorities to meet regular deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and supplier accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in preparing monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian VAT, tax, and financial regulations. Key Requirements
• Languages: Excellent spoken and written English. Working knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset.
• Work Style: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently hit deadlines.
• Mindset: Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a practical work ethic.
• Quality & Integrity: High attention to detail, accuracy in financial reporting, and a high standard of confidentiality.

Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (including formulas and pivot tables). Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
• Teamwork: Solid interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• Local Knowledge: Practical understanding of Belgian financial and tax regulations is an advantage. Preferred

Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Bookkeeping or accountancy certification (e.g., IAB/BIBF, AAT). Work Environment:
