Hong Kong SAR (Hybrid) Business Scope: Asia Pacific | Approximately 24 Locations | 500+ Employees Reporting Line: Directly to the Investor (No Intermediate Management Layer) Position OverviewWe are an independently owned beauty and wellness business operating as an authorized franchisee of CHLITINA, an established beauty and skincare brand. Our current portfolio comprises approximately 24 locations and over 500 employees, with a strong presence in the Chinese market and ambitions for further expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven APAC Director to lead our regional operations, strengthen organizational capabilities, and drive sustainable business expansion. This position is part of an independently owned franchise business and is not a corporate management role within CHLITINA's brand headquarters. The successful candidate will serve as the senior executive responsible for our business operations, with the authority to formulate and execute regional business strategies within the investor-approved framework. The APAC Director will report directly to the Investor, with no intermediate management layer. We are looking for more than an operational manager. We seek a long-term business partner who can balance immediate commercial performance with strategic growth and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Strategy and Business Development Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to drive sustainable growth across the Asia-Pacific region. Oversee the existing portfolio of approximately 24 locations and establish commercially viable expansion plans. Evaluate new market entry opportunities, store locations, strategic partnerships, and potential investments. Analyze consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities. Work closely with the Investor to establish a three-to-five-year business development roadmap, including regional expansion, business model optimization, and potential development of independently owned brands. 2. Retail Operations and Business Management Assume overall responsibility for operational performance across the existing store network. Establish and maintain consistent service standards, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Lead regional management teams, store managers, and cross-functional departments to ensure effective business execution. Monitor store-level performance, identify operational gaps, and implement measurable improvement initiatives. Promote operational excellence, resource optimization, and best-practice sharing across the organization. 3. Financial Management and P&L Accountability Assume direct accountability for business performance, revenue growth, profitability, and operational cost management. Develop annual budgets, revenue targets, and profit improvement plans. Monitor store-level financial performance, operating expenses, labor costs, and return on investment. Establish effective financial controls and performance management frameworks. Provide regular business and financial performance updates directly to the Investor. 4. Leadership and Organizational Development Provide overall leadership to an organization of more than 500 employees. Develop a scalable management structure and strengthen organizational capabilities. Recruit, develop, and mentor regional managers, store managers, and functional leaders. Establish effective performance evaluation, leadership development, and employee retention programs. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance-driven organizational culture. 5. Brand Development and Customer Experience Strengthen the performance and market positioning of the existing CHLITINA franchise business in accordance with applicable brand authorization and franchise agreements. Develop customer acquisition, loyalty, membership, and retention strategies. Lead CRM initiatives, digital marketing, and omnichannel customer engagement. Identify emerging opportunities in the premium beauty, skincare, and wellness sectors. Participate in the strategic development of future independently owned brands, including business model design, market positioning, and long-term growth planning. 6. Investor Reporting and Independent Decision-Making Serve as the senior executive responsible for business operations, reporting directly to the Investor without an intermediate management layer. Independently manage day-to-day operations and cross-functional coordination within the scope of delegated authority. Present regular business reviews, operational reports, and financial performance analyses. Provide professional recommendations on major investments, business expansion, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate closely with the Investor on long-term business planning while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with the organization's commercial objectives. Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline. At least 10 years of commercial or business management experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position such as Regional Director, General Manager, Operations Director, or an equivalent role. Demonstrated management experience in multi-location retail, beauty, wellness, consumer services, or related industries. Proven experience in multi-store operations, full P&L accountability, and leading large teams. Strong understanding of the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets, with experience in cross-border operations or regional business expansion. Excellent strategic planning, commercial analysis, financial management, and execution capabilities. Ability to operate independently within an investor-led business structure and take ownership of clearly defined business objectives. Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, organizational, and commercial decision-making skills. Professional proficiency in both English and Chinese.
