Senior Infrastructure Architect

About the Role
NISH Tech BV is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead end-to-end infrastructure architecture across data center and multi-site environments. You will assess existing platforms, identify technical risks and debt, and define target-state architectures and transformation roadmaps. Working with server, network, storage, database, security, application, service-management, and vendor teams, you will develop architecture designs, technology standards, capacity models, security patterns, and migration strategies. You will ensure that solutions meet availability, scalability, performance, recoverability, security, compliance, automation, observability, and cost-optimization requirements. The role also includes technical governance throughout implementation and migration, support for major incidents and root-cause analysis, and evaluation of technologies and vendors. This opportunity suits a technically strong infrastructure professional who can make architecture decisions and communicate recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end infrastructure architecture across data centers and multi-site environments.
• Assess current infrastructure platforms and identify risks, constraints, and technical debt.
• Define target-state architectures and infrastructure transformation roadmaps.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs, technology standards, and capacity models.
• Develop security patterns, bills of materials, migration strategies, and implementation guardrails.
• Lead technical workshops and design reviews across infrastructure and technology teams.
• Design platforms for high availability, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure compliance, security, automation, observability, and cost-optimization requirements are addressed.
• Provide technical governance during transition, migration, implementation, testing, and operational acceptance.
• Support major incidents, problem management, and root-cause analysis.
• Drive risk remediation, infrastructure lifecycle management, and business continuity planning.
• Evaluate technology products and vendors.
• Validate solution sizing and commercial proposals.
• Present architecture decisions and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders. Required Skills Mandatory Skills
• 12–18 years of infrastructure experience.
• At least 5 years in infrastructure architecture, solution design, or technical leadership.
• Hands-on expertise in at least two infrastructure towers.
• Architecture-level knowledge across server, network, storage, backup, and database domains.
• Experience designing highly available, secure, scalable, and disaster-recovery-ready enterprise platforms.
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, analytical, and technical decision-making skills.
• Required language: English. Core Infrastructure Architecture Knowledge
• Servers and Virtualization: Linux/Unix, Windows Server, VMware or Hyper-V.
• Networking: Enterprise LAN/WAN, routing and switching, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, proxy, SD-WAN, data-center networking, segmentation, and zero-trust principles.
• Storage and Backup: SAN, NAS, and object storage.
• Databases: Architecture-level knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Security and Compliance: Infrastructure hardening, privileged access, vulnerability remediation, encryption, certificate management, logging, and audit controls.
• Automation and Observability: Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent tools.
• Service Management: ITIL processes, CMDB, incident, problem, change, and release management.
