Senior Solution Architect

About the Role
NISH Tech BV is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to support technology transformation initiatives within a leading European energy and electricity infrastructure organization. You will design and adapt technical solutions that address business challenges while contributing to the modernization of application landscapes. The role involves analysing functional and non-functional requirements, defining solution building blocks, developing architecture designs and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, architecture teams and delivery teams. The ideal candidate has strong experience in application and integration architecture and understands modern architectural approaches including Domain-Driven Design, microservices and event-driven architecture. You will also contribute to architecture governance and decision-making while working closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify architectural constraints and business requirements.
• Decompose business capabilities into relevant Solution Building Blocks.
• Apply appropriate architectural styles and patterns.
• Develop and deliver solution architecture designs.
• Align business, architecture and delivery stakeholders.
• Act as a key link between stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Support delivery teams in implementing architectural designs.
• Ensure solutions align with architecture standards and guidelines.
• Design solutions using application and integration architecture principles.
• Contribute to architecture governance and design-review processes.
• Support architectural decision-making using structured techniques.
• Apply reference architectures and established architecture patterns.
• Facilitate technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Contribute to IT transformation and application-modernization initiatives.
• Communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical and business audiences. Required Skills Mandatory Skills
• Minimum 6 years of relevant Solution Architecture experience.
• Experience working in complex IT environments.
• Strong application architecture knowledge.
• Strong integration architecture knowledge.
• Experience analysing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience creating solution architecture designs.
• Knowledge of architecture standards and frameworks such as:
• TOGAF
• ArchiMate
• ATAM
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Practical knowledge of modern architectural paradigms.
• Experience with microservices and/or event-driven architecture.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Strong stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Dutch and/or French + English. Nice-to-Have Skills
• GIS solutions, particularly ArcGIS.
• Asset Management experience.
• Agile environment experience.
• Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• CBAM.
• Energy/utilities domain experience.
• Experience with architecture governance and reference architectures. Experience Minimum 6 years of relevant Solution Architecture experience. Languages Dutch and/or French + English.
