• Permanent , Permanent Role Definition You will have to coordinate the overall preparation of the machines and quality process at MILE, from inbound to final check inspection. In your field of responsibility, you will also be responsible for checking the conformity of machines and accessories upon arrival, as well as performing a final check before they are shipped to the customer. Additionally, you will monitor KPIs and follow up Manitou’s internal quality relation with Manitou’s plant. Manitou Interface Logistics Europe (MILE), part of the Manitou Group, imports scissors lift machines from our factory in India, as well as compact machines, articulated loaders, and skid steer loaders from our factories in the USA for distribution to our dealer network across Europe.
Location:
At our facility in Zeebrugge, Koggenstraat. Occasional travel (up to a maximum of 10% of the time) to our factories in France, Germany, India or the US may be required.
Job Description
Safety and Environment:
• Comply with safety and environmental guidelines.
• Report any identified hazards in the workplace. Management et organisation
• Ensure an organization, in terms of skills and resources, capable of addressing MILE’s production and quality challenges.
• Drive the skills development of teams and manage employee progression (motivation, training, human resources management).
• Supervise Quality controllers and workshop technicians.
• Guarantee production and quality processes as well as the specific features of MILE’s activities.
• Keep generic instructions, process and activity sheets up to date and ensure operational control and through KPIs.
• Manage the operational communications with our service partner (Daily & weekly meetings) Quality Follow-up And Supplier Relations
• Lead weekly and monthly meetings with production sites (USA and India).
• Provide leadership for the quality team.
• Manage, Identify and track supplier (internal and external) non-conformities (parts and machines), record them in the ERP and dedicated portal, and supervise associated quality actions. Continuous Improvement
• Actively propose and implement improvement initiatives.
• Adopt the perspective of the customer or supplier to optimize overall quality of the machines.
• Manage quality campaigns to ensure machine conformity. Miscellaneous Tasks
• Coordinate the IV procedure.
• Prepare for factory quality alignment meetings.
• Work closely with the mechanics team to draft monthly quality reports for our plant and prepare CSC meetings.
• Manage machine inventory and warehouse inventory level tracking.
• Follow the production and machine adaptation Language Skills
• French: Essential for internal communication.
• Dutch: Required for daily operations.
• English: Required for factory communications. Profile
• Master’s degree (5 years) in Quality
• Minimum 5/10 years of experience in a similar position
• Management of IT tools
• Knowledge of Quality and Logistics flows
• Knowledge of the industrial process Localisation
