Through our reusable tableware rental service, we partner with restaurants, cafe and properties to reduce waste at source. To date, we has successfully prevented over 100,000 pieces of single-use waste from entering landfills. We are also Hong Kong’s leading provider of zero-waste event solutions. ReCube is the official reusable cup contractor for the 15th National Games in Hong Kong and the contractor for the HKSAR Reusable Tableware Lending Programme for Large-scale Events. We empower fellow social enterprises and NGOs by helping them develop tech-enabled solutions. Additionally, our partnership with the Hong Chi Association has delivered over 6,000 hours of vocational dishwashing training and employment opportunities for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. • Development of software system and software architecture, and development of application software for the projects
• Responsible for the development of return kiosk
• Implementation of frontend applications, backend servers and database systems
• Conduct R&D projects to ensure milestones and objectives are met;
• Conduct research and exploration of reusable tableware rental software
• Coordinate and set up regular and ad hoc research and R&D project meetings with cross-functional teams, including collaborating Universities, industry partners, and various stakeholders;
• Carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned Requirements
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Engineering or related disciplines (Note: Candidate must have obtained their Graduation Certificate (or official proof of graduation))
• At least one year of experience in web app or mobile application development
• Proficiency in any of (HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript)
• Proficiency in any of (Node.js, Next.js, React or React Native) is a plus
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs using the Flask framework is a plus
• Experience configuring Cloudflare services, including DNS routing, Page Rules, Workers, and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Experience in Embedded systems firmware development (Raspberry Pi or STM32) is a plus
• Experience in the core AWS services, including AWS Lambda, AWS Dynamo DB, S3 Bucket, AWS Amplify, EventBridge Scheduler, CloudFormation, etc is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
