Mobile Test Automation Engineer – iOS

About the Role
NISH Tech BV is looking for an experienced Mobile Test Automation Engineer to support mobile software quality and automation initiatives within a leading Belgian financial institution. In this hands-on role, you will design, implement and maintain automated end-to-end tests covering complete customer journeys across native iOS and Android applications. You will work with native and embedded mobile interfaces, translate business scenarios into reusable automated tests and contribute to reliable, maintainable and efficient test automation. You will collaborate closely with testers, developers, analysts and DevOps teams in an Agile environment while continuously improving test coverage, execution reliability and diagnostic quality.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automated end-to-end test scenarios for iOS and Android. Automate complete mobile customer journeys across native and embedded interfaces. Translate business scenarios and acceptance criteria into reusable automated tests. Build and maintain reliable automation frameworks and reusable components. Prepare and manage test data and execution prerequisites. Execute automated test suites on real and virtual devices. Analyse failures and document defects with reproducible evidence. Distinguish application defects from automation, environment and test-data issues. Integrate automated testing and reporting into CI/CD delivery processes. Improve test suite reliability, maintainability and execution time. Analyse logs, screenshots and execution evidence. Document testing approaches, coverage and operating procedures. Collaborate with developers, testers, analysts and DevOps teams. Challenge testability and acceptance criteria constructively. Share knowledge and continuously improve the testing approach. Required Skills Mandatory Skills Minimum 6 years of software testing experience. Strong hands-on mobile test automation experience on both iOS and Android. Strong Appium experience. Experience testing end-to-end mobile journeys. Good command of Java. Selenium-based automation experience. BDD experience using Cucumber and Gherkin. Experience designing maintainable automation frameworks. Experience with reusable automation components. Experience with real devices, emulators and simulators. Experience with Perfecto or an equivalent enterprise mobile device testing platform. CI/CD integration experience. Good knowledge of Git, Maven and Jenkins or equivalent tooling. Experience with TestNG or a comparable test runner. Strong defect analysis and troubleshooting skills. Sound knowledge of testing standards and test design principles. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience testing Flutter modules. Experience testing SDK-provided screens embedded in native applications. UI Automator experience. Espresso experience. XCUITest experience. API validation experience. Mocking or stubbing experience. Automated reporting experience. Experience managing unstable mobile tests. Mobile accessibility testing. Visual validation. Mobile performance testing. Experience Minimum 6 years of software testing experience, including strong hands-on mobile automation experience across both iOS and Android. Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. Certifications ISTQB certification is an advantage. Relevant mobile test automation certifications are also considered a plus. Languages English: Sound knowledge required for daily collaboration, documentation and defect reporting.
