Role Description The Corporate Banking Operations Associate (FTC 6m+) will support day-to-day operational activities for corporate banking clients, ensuring timely processing of transactions, documentation, and account maintenance. This full-time role will focus on managing trade finance operations, payments, cash management, and loan administration, while monitoring workflows to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The associate will coordinate with relationship managers, product teams, and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues, respond to client inquiries, and maintain high service standards. The role includes preparing and reviewing operational reports, reconciling data, identifying process improvements, and escalating risks or exceptions where necessary. This is a hybrid position based in Brussels, with a combination of office-based work and some work-from-home flexibility. Qualifications
• Strong operations skills, with experience in banking or financial services operations and familiarity with transaction processing and documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Robust analytical skills for reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and supporting risk and control processes.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and coordination with internal teams.
• Customer service mindset, focused on accuracy, responsiveness, and delivering a high-quality client experience.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of corporate banking products (e.g., loans, trade finance, cash management) and basic knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with banking systems and operational platforms is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in banking operations.
