Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/x) High-Tech Scale-Up | Leuven Drive supplier excellence and quality standards for world-leading precision micro-motors. At Xeryon, a fast-growing high-tech scale-up in Leuven, you will take full ownership of supplier quality, drive 8D investigations, and lead our inspection teams. As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Xeryon, you are the primary guardian of component quality and supplier performance across our high-tech operations. You bridge the gap between internal production requirements and external suppliers, ensuring every incoming component meets our exacting standards for micro-motor assembly. In this key role, you lead root-cause investigations, conduct process audits, and continuously elevate our quality frameworks. You work closely with IQC, CMM, and production teams to validate new inspection methods and ensure full regulatory compliance. Your expertise ensures that our rapid scaling directly aligns with uncompromised quality excellence. You report to the Quality Manager. In this role, your primary responsibilities include:
• Supplier Non-Conformance & 8D: Lead structured problem-solving (8D investigations) and drive resolution for customer complaints linked to supplier causes.
• Audits & Quality Agreements: Plan and execute supplier process audits and maintain Supplier Quality Agreements (SQA).
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and support the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and Coordinate Production and Measuring Machine (CMM) teams.
• Metrology & Control Plans: Implement, validate, and document new inspection systems, control plans, product developments and calibration programs.
• Compliance & Audits: Support ISO 9001 and customer audits while ensuring strict adherence to internal quality procedures. Who are we? requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant quality engineering experience, preferably within an electronics or high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Solid working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 required; experience with AS9100, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485 is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with quality tools: Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, DOE, Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with mechanical/electronic measurement systems and Test Method Validation / Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Excellent professional English communication and technical writing skills. What do
