• Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy *
* Position Summary The Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy will serve as a commercial catalyst during an exciting growth phase for the Club. Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer, this departmental leader will blend aggressive, data-driven performance marketing with high-level brand storytelling to accelerate revenue, scale fan acquisition, and maximize commercial partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a rare mix of analytical rigor (optimizing ROAS, CRM, and digital platforms) and creative vision (redefining the matchday experience and elevating corporate partner activations) to lead the club's entire marketing and communications apparatus. This role plays a critical role in fulfilling the Chattanooga FC’s purpose to build community through the world’s game. You will be expected and empowered to facilitate the success of CFC football initiatives and events, advancing the sport and creating memorable experiences for players and fans alike. Essential Functions Growth & Paid Media Strategy
• Direct the overarching paid media and promotional strategy with a primary focus on maximizing Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) across social, search, and display channels
• Architect cross-platform advertising frameworks that leverage league-wide and local digital properties to drive ticket sales and commercial growth
• Evaluate high-level campaign performance analytics to inform long-range marketing investments and organizational revenue priorities Email Marketing & Lifecycle Management
• Define the digital engagement vision and platform priorities, ensuring email marketing serves as a sophisticated driver for retention and fan lifecycle management
• Champion the creative briefing and storytelling process, ensuring alignment between brand narrative, design excellence, and segmented audience growth initiatives Event Marketing & Matchday Experience
• Set the strategic vision for the matchday and event experience, aligning game presentation with organizational goals and regional audience expansion efforts Partnership & Commercial Marketing
• Establish the standards and frameworks that guide how the brand is expressed across all corporate partnerships and community-facing activations
• Oversee media placement and multi-channel ad buying strategies to elevate the Club's profile locally, regionally, and nationally
• Direct grassroots and street team engagement strategies to deepen community connections and drive sustainable brand loyalty
• Partner with leadership to identify and integrate innovative sponsorship opportunities that advance the Club's competitive and financial position Brand Communications & Media Governance
• Act as the primary brand steward, establishing the visual identity and narrative frameworks that shape the Club's story across all platforms
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure communications strategies effectively drive attendance, viewership, and commercial growth Data, Insights & Performance Management
• Define performance standards and KPIs for all digital properties, utilizing data-informed optimization to maximize organizational ROI
• Leverage market segmentation and consumer insights to direct long-range marketing planning and audience engagement priorities
• Direct the integration of CRM and analytical tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement in fan experience and revenue generation
• Incorporate emerging technologies and audience trends to ensure the Club maintains a leading position within the sports and entertainment industry Supervisory Responsibilities
• Build, develop, and retain a high-performing, cross-functional marketing and communications department
• Empower team leaders across each functional area to deliver against departmental objectives while fostering a culture of creativity and accountability
• Directly oversee and mentor the Director of Communications, Creative Director, and Creative Coordinator.
• Establish operational frameworks and prioritization matrices between the creative studio and revenue-generating departments to ensure seamless asset delivery. Support Club Success
• Assist with other duties as needed to help drive the CFC Purpose, fulfill our Mission, and foster our Vision. Qualifications Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced marketing certification is preferred.
• 5–8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a dedicated leadership role managing cross-functional teams (e.g., Director level or equivalent).
• Proven background managing major partnerships and executing complete activation programs
• Deep domain knowledge in sports and entertainment sponsorship structures, media, events, promotions, and contracting
• Demonstrated experience leading both highly analytical digital marketers and highly expressive creative teams. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Performance Marketing Knowledge: Deep understanding of digital acquisition frameworks, database segmentation, and client lifecycle management—specifically optimizing ROAS across Meta, Google, and display networks.
• Sports Ecosystem Acumen: Advanced familiarity with professional sports ticketing architectures (e.g., Ticketmaster, SeatGeek), sports CRM systems, and the commercial mechanisms that drive stadium attendance and partner ROI.
• Brand & Content Stewardship: Exceptional ability to guide visual identity and narrative frameworks, ensuring public relations and creative assets protect club brand equity while accelerating revenue.
• Financial & Analytical Skill: Ability to analyze complex campaign performance metrics, manage departmental budgets, and translate data into actionable, long-range marketing investments for the CBO.
• Creative Workflow Governance: Ability to design operational prioritization matrices that protect creative bandwidth while delivering high-velocity marketing assets to commercial sales teams. Core Competencies

• Must complete and maintain SafeSport and all required Major League Soccer (MLS) training requirements applicable to the position

- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, standing, walking, and occasional sitting, climbing, crouching, and kneeling may be required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Physical Environment: Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments. This position may be occasionally exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, precipitation, and other outdoor elements associated with professional sports operations.
