Job Requirements At MPL, we turn knowledge into action. Who are we looking for?
• You have at least 8 years of experience in freight forwarding and are fully comfortable managing international shipments independently.
• You have extensive knowledge of international forwarding processes and transport regulations.
• You have strong experience in either import, export or a combination of both.
• You are comfortable managing multiple customers, priorities and shipment flows simultaneously.
• You understand the importance of customer relationships and consistently deliver a high level of service.
• You handle forwarding documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Communication is key. You're fluent in Dutch and English. Additional languages are a plus.
• You combine strong customer focus with a high level of ownership and accountability.
• You remain calm under pressure and know how to prioritize effectively.
• You are proactive, solution-oriented and confident in making decisions.
• You enjoy balancing operational excellence with relationship management.
• You're comfortable working with digital tools and continuously improving the way you work.

Job Responsibilities As a Senior Forwarder within our Consumer Goods division, you take ownership of a diverse portfolio of international shipments for customers active in consumer-driven industries. Depending on your experience and portfolio, you may be managing predominantly import or export flows. What all customers have in common is their expectation of excellent service, proactive communication and flawless execution. What you'll be doing
• Managing international import and/or export shipments from A to Z.
• Coordinating bookings, transportation, documentation, invoicing and operational follow-up.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, agents and carriers.
• Building long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and excellent service.
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational challenges before they impact the customer.
• Managing a diverse customer portfolio with multiple shipment flows and priorities.
• Coordinating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
• Advising customers on logistics solutions and operational possibilities.
• Ensuring compliance with transport regulations, customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Identifying opportunities to improve service levels, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Supporting colleagues with your expertise and contributing to a high-performing team environment.
