At Packaging Alliance Europe, we are looking for a Master Data Specialist who takes pride in getting things right the first time. Someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, has a strong eye for detail and understands that clean, reliable data is essential for efficient operations and future data-driven insights.
As a Master Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the quality and integrity of master data for products, suppliers and customers across our European organisation. You will ensure that new products can be created quickly and correctly, while maintaining high data quality in our ERP environment.
You will work at the crossroads of business operations and IT, supporting local entities and colleagues across the organisation. Your work will have a direct impact on the efficiency of our processes, the quality of our reporting and our ability to make better, data-driven decisions.
What you will do
Master Data Management
• Create, maintain and manage accurate and complete master data for products, suppliers and customers.
• Ensure that new products are created correctly and within agreed service levels.
• Validate data and ensure that all required information is complete, consistent and up to date.
• Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve errors, inconsistencies and duplicate records. ERP & Data Quality
• Manage large volumes of master data within our ERP environment.
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality ERP data and continuously improving data structures and processes.
• Apply a strong “first-time-right” mindset to all master data activities.
• Support the development and implementation of clear data governance processes. Analysis & Continuous Improvement
• Use Excel and analytical skills to investigate data, identify patterns and improve data quality.
• Analyse data quality issues and contribute to structural solutions rather than only correcting individual errors.
• Look for opportunities to make master data processes more efficient and reliable.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to understand the information behind the data and its impact on daily operations. AI & Data Development
• Explore and use AI tools that can support master data management and data quality.
• Stay curious about new developments in AI and data management and proactively develop your knowledge.
• Contribute to building a strong data foundation for future AI-driven insights. What you bring Technical competences
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP-related master data management; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a strong plus.
• Experience working with large volumes of master data is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies, patterns and data quality issues.
• A solid understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
• Experience with or a strong interest in using AI tools for master data and data-related activities.
• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to translate data issues into practical solutions. Personal competences
