Do you have a passion for supply chain management, stock optimisation and data-driven decision-making? Do you want to make a tangible impact on the performance of an international organisation and do you enjoy working across different departments? Then this role at Reynaers is for you.
As a Group Inventory & Operations Planner, you will be responsible for optimising and managing our group inventory. Together with your team members, you will bear ultimate responsibility for our Belgian stock, whilst acting as the key adviser and point of contact for our markets regarding inventory best practices. You will play a crucial role in striking the right balance between customer satisfaction, working capital and operational efficiency. In doing so, you’ll work closely with Procurement, Product Management, Finance, Operations and the local Supply Chain teams.
You are the driving force behind our stock strategy and tactical planning processes. You ensure that the right products are available at the right time, in the right location and at the optimal cost. In addition, you monitor various supply chain KPIs at group level and take the lead on improvement initiatives relating to stock management and operations planning.
Your Responsibilities
Stock management – both locally and across the group.
You will manage and optimise stock levels for the Reynaers Group. This applies to both our stock in Belgium and internationally.
• You will monitor and report on stock-related KPIs, including stock value, depreciation, inventory health, service level and excess stock.
• You will analyse stock trends and identify opportunities to increase stock productivity without compromising service levels for our customers.
• You will critically evaluate existing stock parameters and policies and ensure an optimal balance between availability and investment. Tactical planning
• You will manage tactical planning over a horizon of one month to one year, optimally aligning demand, supply, service levels and stock.
• You will work closely with Procurement, Product Management, Finance, Operations and the local supply chain organisations to align stock strategies and production capacities with group-level business objectives.
• You monitor market trends and business developments in our key regions and translate these insights into concrete planning and stock decisions.
• You coordinate cross-functional projects that have an impact on our supply chain or stock levels. Process ownership and continuous improvement
• You will act as the Business Process Owner for Inventory and Operations Planning.
• You will utilise advanced analytical techniques, planning systems and digital technologies to support decision-making.
• You will lead and support improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, standardisation and the further professionalisation of our supply chain processes
Your Profile
• You hold a Master's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or have acquired equivalent expertise through experience.
• You have initial relevant experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory Management, or Operations.
• An APICS CPIM certification (or equivalent) is an advantage.
• You combine strong analytical thinking with a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
• You are digitally savvy and eager to learn new systems and tools supporting Supply Chain processes.
• Experience with DDMRP is considered an asset.
• Experience with analytics, reporting, and process automation tools such as Alteryx, Qlik, or SQL is an advantage.
• You possess excellent communication and organisational skills and can easily build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• You are a genuine team player who is able to engage and influence others naturally.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt level) is an advantage.
• You are willing to travel occasionally (approximately 5% of the time).
