Job Description
The project involves developing a new component within an existing central register to manage a new category of individuals, specifically newborns for whom a birth certificate has not yet been issued. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing the impact of changes on, and maintaining the developed applications. The role also involves developing and testing new transaction and management functionalities within the central system, based on the requirements identified during the analysis phase.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement COBOL applications within a central mainframe environment.
• Develop and test new transaction functionalities and management applications as defined in the analysis.
• Manage the impact of changes on existing applications and systems.
• Maintain, optimize and enhance existing application functionalities.
• Ensure the reliability, performance and continuity of mainframe applications.
• Contribute to the continuous adaptation and further development of existing functionalities.
• Collaborate with relevant technical and functional stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. Required Skills and Qualifications
• Confirmed experience as a COBOL Programmer or Mainframe Developer.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL programming in a mainframe environment.
• Experience in application development, maintenance and testing.
• Ability to analyze the impact of changes on existing systems.
• Experience in developing and enhancing transaction-based applications.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Language Requirements
• French or Dutch: Required (proficiency in at least one of these languages).
• English: Mandatory. Contract Summary
