Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience to join our data team. In this role, you will work directly with business units to understand their data needs, perform deep-dive data discovery, and translate business requirements into clear data mapping, transformation logic, and non-functional specifications. The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on SQL skills, a solid grasp of modern cloud data platforms, and the unique ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in simple, plain language. We are also seeking someone curious and proactive about leveraging AI technology to automate data analysis workflows.

Key Responsibilities
• Business Collaboration: Work directly with business users to gather, clarify, and translate business goals into precise functional and non-functional data requirements.
• Data Discovery & Mapping: Perform hands-on data discovery, define source-to-target data mappings, and articulate complex transformation logic using advanced SQL skills.
• Clear Communication: Translate technical data specs, data governance rules, and platform constraints into layman’s terms for business decision-makers and non-technical end users.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Apply a strong understanding of data lineage, data security, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) handling to ensure regulatory and privacy standards are met.
• Modern Data Platform Integration: Collaborate with data engineering teams utilizing cloud platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and apply core data modeling principles to guide clean data consumption layer design.
• Workflow Innovation: Continuously explore and implement AI-assisted tools and technologies to streamline and automate data business analysis workflows. Must-Haves Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:
5+ years of professional experience as a Data BA or similar role within the Financial Services (FS) sector.

Skills:
Native Cantonese and Fluent English (written and spoken) are strictly required.

Skills:
Advanced SQL skills, strong experience with data discovery, mapping, and transformation logic.
• Cloud Data Platforms: Hands-on exposure to cloud data solutions such as GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Data Fundamentals: Solid working knowledge of data modeling basics, data lineage, and PII protection rules.

Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to explain data concepts in layman's terms.
