Mission As the Lead
- Project Management within the PMO, you are the architect of On’s most critical cross-functional initiatives. You don’t just manage tasks; you orchestrate complex transformations that bridge our global functions, ensuring that innovation moves from ideation to impact with Swiss precision. Your mission is to provide the structure and momentum needed to navigate ambiguity, bringing the "Human Spirit" to high-stakes project delivery and enabling On to scale efficiently. Stakeholders
• Functional Leads (Marketing, Operations, Tech, Sales): Partner closely to align project outcomes with functional strategies and resource availability.
• Management Team: Provide high-level visibility into project health, risks, and strategic alignment to support executive decision-making.
• Global PMO Community: Collaborate with PMs across different regions and teams to standardize methodologies and share best practices.
• External Partners & Vendors: Manage third-party relationships to ensure external deliverables meet On’s quality and timing standards. Responsibilities Project Lifecycle Orchestration
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact, cross-functional projects, from initial scoping and business case development through to final execution and retrospective.
• Design and maintain robust project roadmaps, ensuring all workstreams are synchronized and that critical path milestones are achieved.
• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, ensuring that potential roadblocks are addressed before they impact delivery. Cross-functional Integration
• Act as the central point of connection for diverse teams, facilitating communication and breaking down silos to ensure a unified approach to project goals.
• Negotiate priorities and resource allocation across departments, balancing competing needs to protect the project's strategic objectives.
• Translate complex project data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in at every stage. Process Evolution & Governance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO frameworks and toolsets, ensuring that On’s project management approach remains agile and fit-for-purpose.
• Establish clear governance structures for projects, including defined roles, decision-making rights, and reporting cadences.
• Mentor and support project contributors across the business, elevating the organization's collective project management maturity through knowledge sharing. Success Measures Project Lifecycle Orchestration
• Delivery of assigned projects within the defined scope, budget, and timeline, as validated by project steering committees.
