At Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, we bring together a global team of engineers, scientists, and architects to help the world’s most innovative companies unleash their potential. From autonomous cars to life-saving robots, our digital and software technology experts think outside the box as they provide unique R&D and engineering services across all industries. Join us for a career full of opportunities. Where you can make a difference. Where no two days are the same. Your Role You will be part of a team that sits at the heart of industrial transformation. At our Courcelles site, we are delivering two landmark automation projects that are reshaping how warehouse operations work. From how goods are stored and retrieved, to how every outbound order is packaged. As the single point of accountability across both programmes, you will lead with authority, collaborate across disciplines, and make a real and visible impact every day. In this role you will play a key role in:
• Owning end-to-end project delivery across two concurrent automation programmes — a Goods-to-Person (GTP) pallet and each-picking system and an automated right-sized packaging line — taking full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and validation at every stage.
• Leading and managing the systems integrator on the warehouse floor on a daily basis, ensuring installation activities are executed to plan, technical standards are met, and any issues are identified and resolved without delay.
• Driving WMS, WCS, and system integration workstreams, coordinating interface definitions, data flows, and acceptance testing between the automated storage and retrieval solution, warehouse management systems, and existing conveyance infrastructure.
• Overseeing the automated cartonisation and packing line integration, including order release workflows, labelling, weighing and check processes, and carrier manifesting, ensuring the full outbound flow performs to specification from day one.
• Maintaining rigorous project governance, producing clear and accurate reporting on milestones, risks, budget consumption, and quality outcomes for presentation to senior leadership stakeholders, and proactively escalating where decisions are required.
• Managing site-level coordination across engineering, operations, health and safety, and supplier teams, ensuring workstation ergonomics, safety standards, and operational readiness requirements are embedded throughout the installation and commissioning phases.
• Leading the validation and commissioning programme for both systems, defining acceptance criteria, managing test campaigns, and signing off on go-live readiness in alignment with the client and key stakeholders.
• Acting as the primary client interface on site, building trusted relationships with the customer's operational, IT, and leadership teams, and ensuring expectations are managed transparently throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Profile
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or a Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Civil) in Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics-ICT, or a similar discipline.
• You are fluent in French and English.
• Project delivery experience in industrial or warehouse automation, with a minimum of 2 years managing the installation, integration, or commissioning of automated systems such as ASRS, GTP, conveyor systems, or automated packaging lines in an operational environment.
• Strong systems integration capability, with hands-on experience coordinating interfaces between automation hardware and software platforms, including WMS, WCS, ERP, or similar warehouse and logistics management systems.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage third-party integrators, combining technical credibility on the warehouse floor with the communication and presentation skills needed to engage senior stakeholders with confidence.
• Structured approach to scope, schedule, cost, and quality management, with experience using recognised project management methodologies and tools to maintain control across complex, multi-workstream programmes running in parallel.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, site-based environment, equally at ease resolving a technical integration issue on the floor as preparing a governance report for leadership, with the resilience and adaptability to manage competing priorities across two simultaneous projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify root causes quickly, assess impact across the programme, and drive corrective actions through to resolution in a structured and documented manner.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships across client teams, operational staff, engineering disciplines, and supplier organisations in a multicultural, on-site setting.
