Your job We are looking for an experienced Group Communication Director with a creative mindset and strong leadership capabilities, eager to take on the challenge of reinforcing our position as a leading Belgian player in our sector through a well-crafted and innovative communication strategy. The Group Communication Director is part of the Corporate Affairs team, reports to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, and maintains a direct strategic reporting line to the CEO. Your Role You will develop an integrated communication vision that translates our strategy into a clear and compelling narrative for media, investors, employees, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Together with your team and colleagues, you will ensure its effective execution, turning ideas into tangible impact. As a strategic advisor to the CEO and the Executive Committee, you will ensure that communication and business strategy remain closely aligned. Beyond that, you will help shape a strong, distinctive, and future-focused corporate story that builds trust among all stakeholders in a rapidly evolving social, political, and technological environment. Your Mission
• Develop and implement an inspiring, group-wide communication strategy in close collaboration with key stakeholders and your team.
• Align internal and external communications to ensure one coherent and compelling narrative.
• Build an efficient communication organization and establish clear governance.
• Advise the CEO and management on communication, reputation, and stakeholder-related matters. Your Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with media and key stakeholders.
• Strengthen the company's corporate positioning.
• Protect and enhance Proximus reputation.
• Drive leadership, change, and employee communications.
• Lead crisis communication efforts.
• Support Investor Relations, when required, in communications related to regulated matters and stock-market-related topics.
• Inspire and develop the communication team in line with our Think Possible culture of collaboration and impact.
• Measure communication effectiveness and continuously drive improvements.

Your profile
• You have extensive experience (minimum 7 years) in a senior corporate communication role and are well-versed in modern communication strategies and techniques.
• Experience in a regulated, listed, and/or public-sector environment is highly desirable.
• You combine strong strategic thinking with a hands-on execution mindset and excellent editorial skills.
• You understand complex stakeholder dynamics and remain effective under pressure.
• You are a credible sparring partner for the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management.
• You have proven experience in media relations, crisis communication, and reputation-sensitive matters.
• You can translate complex topics and contexts into clear, human, and inspiring narratives.
• You bring people and functions together while maintaining accountability and momentum.
• You communicate fluently in French, Dutch, and English.
