BWC is looking for a Software Asset Manager for its client in Brussels, Belgium. It's a full-time permanent contract with BWC. Freelance can also apply.
Job Type
Hybrid :
- 50% Onsite +50% Teleworking in Belgium.
Requirements:
Languages: French or Dutch, with fluent English
• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), software license management, IT procurement, IT Asset Management (ITAM), or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, contracts, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with SAM/ITAM tools and software asset management processes.
• Excellent administrative organization and attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of software licensing models used by major software vendors, as well as SAM/IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions.
• Use analytical tools such as advanced Excel, SQL, and/or Power BI to analyze data and produce meaningful insights.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and proactivity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT, Procurement, Finance, vendors, and management.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT software licenses, including request, approval, procurement, deployment, monitoring, and renewal.
• Maintain an accurate, reliable, and up-to-date license database, covering active, expired, renewable, and licenses scheduled for retirement.
• Review and analyze software contracts, licensing terms, conditions of use, and contractual clauses, in collaboration with Procurement, IT, and Finance teams.
• Analyze software usage data to identify unused, underutilized, or oversized software licenses and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) covering active and unused licenses, upcoming renewals, license compliance risks, and potential cost savings.
• Prepare analyses, management reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support informed decision-making. •
