• Design, develop, and optimise scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Improve the performance and execution times of dbt projects.
• Implement data quality checks, regression tests, and automated validation procedures.
• Develop PySpark transformation scripts and contribute to large-scale data processing.
• Work with Apache Spark and Apache Iceberg to support efficient and reliable data workflows.
• Support the migration of legacy data processing solutions to modern dbt and PySpark-based architectures.
• Establish best practices for testing, documentation, version control, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 🔹 What are we looking for? ✅ Hands-on experience with dbt, preferably dbt Core, in production environments. ✅ Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations and performance optimisation. ✅ Solid experience in analytics engineering, data modelling, testing, and CI/CD. ✅ Practical experience with PySpark and Apache Spark. ✅ Experience with Apache Iceberg, including schema and partition evolution, snapshot management, and time travel. ✅ Knowledge of Git-based workflows, code reviews, and automated deployment pipelines. ✅ Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and migration from legacy data processing systems. ✅ Relevant higher education qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field (EQF Level 6 or higher). ⭐ Nice to have: Experience with SAS-based ETL and migrating legacy SAS workflows to dbt and PySpark. 🌍 Interested in contributing to data transformation projects within the European institutional environment?
