About Us
THRIV LLC is a San Juan CPA firm that has served Puerto Rico businesses and individuals for nearly ten years. Our practice focuses on Puerto Rico tax compliance, tax incentive decrees, and advisory work for local and international clients. We’re growing our Tax department and looking for an experienced associate to join the team. What You’ll Do
• Prepare Puerto Rico and Federal income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Prepare informative returns (480 series), withholding reconciliations, and related filings.
• Prepare municipal license (patente) declarations, CRIM personal property returns, and IVU filings.
• Assist with annual compliance for tax incentive decree holders (Act 60 and predecessor acts), including annual reports and required filings.
• Gather and organize client documentation, maintain workpapers, and track deadlines.
• Help draft responses to notices and requests from Hacienda, municipalities, and other agencies.
• Track time accurately and meet billable-hour targets. What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• +2 years of Puerto Rico and Federal tax preparation experience, at a public accounting firm preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Puerto Rico Internal Revenue Code and SURI.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several engagements during busy season.
• Experience with tax software and practice management tools; Canopy is a plus.
• Interest in pursuing the CPA license is a plus.
