Responsibilities:
• Carry out design studies at different project stages, including feasibility studies, preliminary designs and detailed design studies.
• Design and calculate civil engineering structures such as bridges, viaducts, tunnels, foundations, concrete and steel structures, geotechnical structures and technical buildings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to CAD Designers in the preparation of detailed drawings, ensuring their technical consistency.
• Contribute to project planning and the definition of construction phasing.
• Analyse technical challenges and develop feasible solutions, taking into account budget, deadlines and construction constraints.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and various technical disciplines, including railway infrastructure, overhead lines, signalling, hydraulics, geotechnics and environmental integration.
• Prepare technical specifications for tender documents and provide technical support to site teams.
• Report on the progress and results of design studies to the relevant stakeholders. Candidate profile:
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Construction Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the design and engineering of civil structures.
• Advanced knowledge of SCIA Engineer is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge of D-Sheet and experience in geotechnical calculations are considered assets.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D and BIM processes is an advantage.
• Fluent in either Dutch or French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
