Market Development Specialist, Belgium

If you've answered 'yes' to these questions, the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has an exciting opportunity for a Market Development Specialist, Belgium to join our team and help grow the market for MSC-certified sustainable seafood. is is a varied and rewarding role, connecting commercial partnerships with market activation to increase the visibility, availability and demand for MSC-certified and labelled products in Belgium. You will build and strengthen relationships with retailers, foodservice operators, processors, distributors and importers across the seafood supply chain, and represent MSC at industry events, trade shows and conferences. Reporting to the Country Manager, Belgium, you will work closely with colleagues across the Benelux and wider DACH region, as well as our Marketing and Communications, and Fisheries and Stakeholder Engagement teams, to support partner activations, campaigns and initiatives that strengthen MSC's profile and impact in Belgium. We're looking for someone with experience in market development, commercial partnerships, sales or account management, ideally gained within food, seafood or related sectors. You'll bring strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to represent MSC professionally and build trust with partners across the supply chain. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and be fluent in written and spoken Dutch and English (French is an advantage). You'll be organized and proactive, comfortable managing multiple partner relationships and activities at once, and motivated by the chance to make a genuine difference to the future of our oceans.
