QED is a Brussels-based event production company delivering live, virtual and hybrid events for clients in the EU public affairs sector. We manage the full event lifecycle, combining logistics and on-site coordination with audiovisual (AV) production, live streaming and online event platforms. We're a small, tech-savvy team that enjoys solving technical problems and building tailored setups for each event. We work flexibly and value clear, honest communication. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in event technology, technical production and IT support from day one.
• Develop IT solutions and setups and provide IT support to the rest of the team
• Assist with the set-up and configuration of online and hybrid event platforms
• Ensure events run smoothly and participants have a great experience
• Assist with technical aspects of the production process, including sound and lighting equipment, video and audio streaming, and virtual event software
• Coordinate with location's AV teams to set up technical equipment for hybrid events
• Assist with the Live stream during online conferences
• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during events
• Event set-up (cameras, image mixing, sound system, lighting, etc.)
• Contribute to improving our streaming services and integrating new technology into the QED workflow
• Good general IT skills; comfort picking up new software quickly

• Ability to stay calm and troubleshoot under pressure
• Experience using AI tools professionally, with a curiosity for exploring new AI-driven possibilities
• Interest in audiovisual (AV) production, live streaming, event technology or web development; familiarity with OBS Studio or vMix is considered a plus.
• Any relevant experience through internships, school or personal projects, or freelance work in AV, streaming, multimedia or IT support is considered a plus.
• A relevant university degree, for example in Audiovisual Production, Multimedia, Digital Media, Event Technology, IT or Computer Science is considered a plus.
• Fluent English; additional EU languages are a plus. This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and engage your creativity in virtual and hybrid events. This is a hands-on technical and production role, right in the middle of the action — running cameras, streams, and event platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in all stages of the event life cycle, receive training and a thorough development plan. This is a 6-months paid internship (CIP contract). The internship will ideally start end October 2026. Important note Please be advised that a valid work permit for Belgium is required for non-EU citizens.
