We are looking for a Packaging Manager to lead the Packaging Team and drive initiatives related to operational excellence, safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
You will manage a team of 6 Packaging Specialists and work closely with Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and suppliers to improve packaging performance, implement PPWR requirements and develop a strong Kaizen culture.
Your
Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach and develop the Packaging Team (6 FTEs), ensuring clear priorities, effective workload distribution and strong team performance.
• Set objectives, monitor performance and support the professional development of team members.
• Drive packaging safety, ensuring safe handling, storage, transportation and operational use.
• Identify and reduce packaging-related safety risks, incidents and ergonomic issues.
• Lead the implementation of PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) requirements across the organization.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure packaging compliance and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Drive Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives across packaging processes and systems.
• Identify and eliminate waste (Muda) and improve packaging processes, standards and ways of working.
• Lead projects focused on cost reduction, waste reduction, returnable packaging, logistics efficiency and asset utilization.
• Define and monitor KPIs to measure packaging performance and improvement initiatives.
• Act as a key point of contact for packaging-related compliance, safety and continuous improvement topics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, Procurement and suppliers to deliver cross-functional projects.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, performance, risks and improvement initiatives to senior management.
• Maintain a strong Gemba mindset, engaging with the shop floor to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
Your Profile
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within Packaging, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Proven experience leading teams and driving change in an industrial environment.
• Strong experience in Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Lean or Operational Excellence.
• Experience managing projects from planning through implementation, with strong execution and follow-through.
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge or experience in regulatory compliance, ideally related to packaging or industrial operations.
• Strong understanding of problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Analytical, structured and results-oriented, with the ability to turn data into concrete actions.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment and engaging directly with the shop floor.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. What can you except as a B.
